Minutes of 02-09-2015 Eau Galle Board Meeting
Minutes are unofficial until approved by Town Board
The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman Lund at 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall.
Chairman Lund indicated that notice of the meeting was posted as required by Statutes.
Town Board members present were David North, Dennis Duckworth, Jim Lund and William Peavey.
The agenda was approved as presented on a motion by David North second by Dennis Duckworth, motion carried.
Minutes of the January 12, 2015 Caucus was approved as corrected on a motion by David North second by Dennis Duckworth, correction being that David North chaired meeting during nominations for chairman, motion carried
Minutes of the January 12, 2015 Board Meeting were approved on a motion by Dennis Duckworth second by David North, motion carried
Bills for the month were reviewed. Motion by Dennis Duckworth second by David North to approve bills as presented with addition of Tax Payment checks, dog License check and County Highway check, motion carried.
Clerk reviewed correspondence.
Discussed Building Inspector Contract with questions answered and items clarified. Motion by Dennis Duckworth second by David North to approve contract as corrected. Todd Dolan to make corrections for Chairman Lund signature.
Chairman Lund reviewed request to amend ATV Ordinance to match Town of Baldwin ATV Ordinance on 60th. ave from Co. B to 270th. No action taken, to add on next month agenda with a more detailed agenda item.
Discussion was held on possible issues on compliance with Town Ordinance regarding new residential construction in regards to compliance with state UDC code. Todd Dolan made comments to Ordinance that Town Board had been discussing. Todd Dolan also handed out an example Ordinance that he believes has all the basics requirements and the Town could modify to fit its needs. He also suggested that fees be set by resolution not Ordinance. On next month agenda.
Chairman Lund reviewed request from Town of Baldwin to lower speed limit on 60th from County B to 270th. to 45 mph. Comments were made that there is presently a buggy warning sign and soon ATV signs will be added. No action taken.
Discussed need for new Animal Control Officer, board to look for possible resident applicants and on next month agenda. Need to continue to search for resident candidate and Clerk to put notice in paper requesting applications.
Road work 2015
- Chairman Lund reviewed letter from Co. Highway department concerning needed Bridge work. Motion by Dennis Duckworth to authorize necessary bridge repairs as recommended by St. Croix County Highway Department second by David North, motion carried.
- Reviewed other possible 2015 projects
- 250th. Co. N to 30th.
- 55th grind and grade no surface
- Old Co. B
- Share with Woodville
- Post weight limits now
- 20 to 25 miles have PACER rating of 5 to 7
- Good candidates to seal coat
- Seal coat costs with 2014 numbers;
- Crack Seal and AMZ as necessary approximately $3,500 mile
- Seal coat $14,000 a mile
