Minutes of September 14, 2009
Minutes are unofficial until approved by Town of Eau Galle Town Board
The Monthly meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Eau Galle was called to order by Chairman Lund at the Town Hall at 7:00 P.M.
Chairman Lund indicated that the notice of meeting had been published as required by statue.
Town Board members present were Jim Lund, David North and William Peavey.
Agenda was reviewed and approved on a motion by Jim Lund second by David North, motion carried.
Minutes of August 11, 2009 Board Minutes were read and approved on a motion by David North second by Jim Lund, motion carried.
Reviewed bills for month and they were approved on a motion by Jim Lund second by David North, motion carried.
Clerk reviewed correspondence. Clerk noted that Waste Management had submitted bid for garbage and recycling but it arrived too late for consideration.
Reviewed contract for garbage and recycling with Murtha Sanitation that has been signed by Chairman. All insurance certificates have been received, 01-01-2010 base for fuel cost surcharge. Waste management is requiring 90 out for dumpster contracts.
Discussed subdivision ordinance. Mike Ostlie gave update on planning commission recommendations. Highway requirements were moved to highway section and irrevocable line of credit was added wherever bond was used. Discussed developers agreements and if they were necessary. Reviewed language and discussed if forfeiture of bond or letter of credit was enforceable. Clerk to make changes and get legal counsel to review.
Reviewed draft 2010 budget and made changes, on next month’s agenda.
Discussed failing air conditioner in office. Motion by Jim Lund second by David North to authorize Clerk to replace at a cost not to exceed $300.00, motion carried.
Road work for 2009:
- Reviewed expenses to date and projection of anticipated costs
- Motion by David North second by Jim Lund to replace culverts on 233rd Co. N to I-94, motion carried.
Chairman’s report:
- No dog catcher
- Cleanup day October 3
Open Forum;
- Reviewed requirements for dogs held by dog catcher
