Minutes of 09-12- 2016 Special Meeting of Electors
Minutes are unofficial until approved by Town Board.
The special Meeting of Electors was called to order by Chairman Lund at 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall.
Chairman Lund indicated that notice of the meeting was posted as required by Statutes.
Chairman Lund indicated that the only agenda item was action on Town Board resolution to exceed State Levy Limit by $200,000. An open question and answer session was held prior to the meeting. Clerk Peavey informed those attending that per Wisconsin Statutes only residents 18 years old or older could vote.
Town Board members present were Kevin Larson, Amy Shafer, Jim Lund and William Peavey.
Motion was made by Joel Kramer second by Elizabeth Lavelle to approve Town Board resolution to exceed State Levy Limit by $200,000.
Motion was made by David North second by John Moulton to amend motion to exceed State Levy Limit by $50,000 instead of $200,000, motion to amend failed on a voice vote.
Motion was made by John Moulton second by David North to amend motion to exceed State Levy Limit by $100,000 instead of $200,000, motion to amend failed on a show of hands.
Voting was held with paper ballots on original motion to exceed State Levy Limit by $200,000 as no amendments had passed, motion failed on a vote of 66 no and 28 yes.
Chairman Lund adjourned meeting as agenda had been completed.
