Minutes of the Oct. 7, 2025 Town of Eau Galle Board Meeting

The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Town Board Chairman Lund at 7:00 PM at the town hall.
Chairman Lund indicated that the notice of the meeting was posted as required by statutes and noted no additional items were added since the October Agenda was posted at the Town Hall and on the official Town website.
The Town Board members present were Ryan Anez, Amy Shafer, Stephanie Supri, and Jim Lund.
The agenda was approved as presented on a motion by Amy Shafer second by Ryan Anez, motion carried.
The minutes of the September 8, 2025 Town Board Meeting were approved on a motion by Ryan Anez second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Treasurer’s report, and bills were reviewed and approved on a motion by Amy Shafer second by Ryan Anez, motion carried.
Building and driveway permits were reviewed.
Clerk reviewed correspondence and emails. Open Book is now on October 15, 2025 and Board of Review is on October 29, 2025 both noon-2pm at the Town Hall.
Supervisor Anez opened and read the sealed bids submitted by contractors for the Town Hall roof, window and siding project. Motion by Ryan Anez to approve the contract submitted by JM Homes with class 4 shingle upgrade not to exceed $3,000 without board approval second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Motion by Amy Shafer to approve the driveway variance for Ben & Meghan Herzog in Section 4 second by Ryan Anez, motion carried.
Motion by Ryan Anez to approve the driveway variance for Steve Sylvester in Section 17 second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Motion by Amy Shafer to cash out the CD from Citizens State Bank that matures on October 11, 2025 second by Ryan Anez, motion carried.
Motion by Ryan Anez to set the 2026 budget hearing for November 10, 2025 at 6:45pm at the Town Hall second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Deputy Clerk Peavey reviewed the 2026 preliminary budget.
Motion by Jim Lund to add $200 per tree removal to the fee schedule second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Motion by Amy Shafer to add delinquent fire calls and house numbers to the tax roll second by Ryan Anez, motion carried.
Road Work:
- Bridges have been trimmed back.
- Discussion of 2027 road project of 222nd St (10th ave to 20th ave)
- LRIP application is now live.
- Post cards for tree removal have been mailed.
Chairman’s Report:
- The solar field located in the town of Eau Galle is set to be up and running on October 20, 2025.
- Safety meeting at the solar field will be on October 23, 2025 at 5:30pm.
- Assessment letters have been mailed to residents by the assessor.
- Wisconsin Towns Association meeting is on October 23, 2025 at the highway department.
- Andy Borntreger CSM was approved at the county level.

The next regular monthly Board Meeting will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025 at 7pm or immediately following the budget hearing at the Town Hall.
