Minutes of the May 15, 2024 Town of Eau Galle Board Meeting
*Minutes are unofficial until approved by the Town Board*
The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Town Board Chairman Lund at 7:00 PM at the town hall.
Chairman Lund indicated that the notice of the meeting was posted as required by statutes and noted no additional items were added since the May Agenda was posted at the Town Hall and on the official Town website.
The Town Board members present were Kevin Larson, Amy Shafer, Stephanie Supri, and Jim Lund.
The agenda was approved as presented on a motion by Amy Shafer second by Kevin Larson, motion carried.
Beth Esser from One Energy Renewables and Sean Rassmussen from St. Croix Electric Co-Op presented a potential solar array of approximately 15 acres in Section 15 in the Town of Eau Galle as well as answered questions and addressed concerns from the town board and town residents.
Minutes of the April 10, 2024 Town Board Meeting were approved on a motion by Kevin Larson with one correction second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Treasurer’s report, and bills were reviewed and approved on a motion by Amy Shafer second by Kevin Larson, motion carried.
Building and driveway permits were reviewed.
Clerk reviewed correspondence and emails.
Motion by Amy Shafer to appoint town resident Ryan Anez to a two-year term on the Planning Commission second by Kevin Larson, motion carried.
Motion by Amy Shafer to approve St. Croix County Highway Department to bid and award the purchase hot mix only, material used for the 20th Avenue paving project on behalf of the Town of Eau Galle second by Kevin Larson, motion carried.
Motion by Kevin Larson to approve a $2/per hour increase in Deputy Clerk pay to $20/per hour second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Road Work:
- Culverts have been installed on the 20th Avenue project. Milling to start at the end of July.
- No information has been received yet in regards to the ARIP application.
- Patching will begin on town roads soon.

Town Board to review exemptions, provisions and permits sections in the Non-Residential Building Permit Ordinance for June meeting.
