Minutes of the May 11, 2026 Town of Eau Galle Board Meeting

The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Town Board Chairman Lund at 7:00 PM at the town hall.
Chairman Lund indicated that the notice of the meeting was posted as required by statutes and noted no additional items were added since the May Agenda was posted at the Town Hall and on the official Town website.
The Town Board members present were Ryan Anez, Amy Shafer, Stephanie Supri, and Jim Lund.
The agenda was approved as presented on a motion by Amy Shafer second by Ryan Anez, motion carried.
The minutes of the April 13, 2026 Town Board Meeting were approved on a motion with one correction by Ryan Anez second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Treasurer’s report, and bills were reviewed and approved by Amy Shafer second by Ryan Anez, motion carried.
Building and driveway permits were reviewed.
Clerk reviewed correspondence and emails.
Town Board appointed Heather McAbee, Ryan Anez and Mike Ostlie for a two-year term on the planning committee.
Motion by Ryan Anez to award the purchase of hot mix only, material used for the 30th Avenue paving Local Roads Improvement Project (LRIP) on behalf of the Town of Eau Galle second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Motion by Amy Shafer to approve the 2025 Audit from CLA second by Ryan Anez, motion carried.
Motion by Amy Shafer to approve the Fire Inspection Ordinance 2026-01 second by Ryan Anez, motion carried.
Town Board to further discuss a potential Solar Panel Field/Green Energy Ordinance at the June Meeting.
Motion by Amy Shafer to approve the hire of Prairie Lawn Solutions to mow the town halls and the cemetery for the 2026 mowing season while providing a current certificate of insurance second by Ryan Anez, motion carried.
Road Work:
- The application for the LSSIP grant was submitted.
- The culverts on 30th Avenue have been started
- Blacktop on 30th will be started mid summer.
- A culvert end on 20th avenue will be fixed soon
- Ditches have been sprayed
- 250th Avenue shoulders to be done in 3 weeks.
Chairman’s Report:
- Board of Review is on May 13th 3pm-5pm
- Potential to move clean up to one day a year because of low attendance.
- Supervisor Ryan to look into potential generator at town hall.
Public Comment/Open Forum:
Sarah Erickson with Double Good 4H requested to have a key for town hall even though she is not a town resident. Will reach out to 4H to see if they provide any sort of insurance. Board to waive rental fee for the year. Motion by Ryan Anez to approve providing a key to Sarah second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
