Minutes of the March 10, 2025 Town of Eau Galle Board Meeting
*Minutes are unofficial until approved by the Town Board*
The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Town Board Chairman Lund at 7:00 PM at the town hall.
Chairman Lund indicated that the notice of the meeting was posted as required by statutes and noted no additional items were added since the March Agenda was posted at the Town Hall and on the official Town website.
The Town Board members present were Kevin Larson, Amy Shafer, Stephanie Supri, and Jim Lund.
The agenda was approved as presented on a motion by Amy Shafer second by Kevin Larson, motion carried.
The minutes of the February 10, 2025 Town Board Meeting were approved on a motion by Kevin Larson with one grammar correction second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Superintendent John Groh with Spring Valley School District presented the 2 referendum questions for the April ballot.
Treasurer’s report, and bills were reviewed and approved with the addition of 5 election worker checks on a motion by Amy Shafer second by Kevin Larson, motion carried.
Building and driveway permits were reviewed.
Clerk reviewed correspondence and emails.
Motion by Kevin Larson to approve the 2 lot CSM for James Merth in Section 32 contingent on perc test second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Town board discussed mowing bids for the 2025 mowing season. Board tabled discussion for the April meeting.
Motion by Amy Shafer to approve 7 month CD renewal at Citizen State Bank second by Kevin Larson, motion carried.
Motion by Kevin Larson to approve Town Debit Card to be used on budgeted items second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Road Work:
- Roads have been posted.
- 30th Avenue is the road project for 2025.
Chairman’s Report:
- Wednesday, March 12, 2025 One Renewable Energy and United Fire Department will be meeting at the proposed solar field for a presconstruction update.
- Spring election on April 1, 2025.
- Annual Meeting on April 15, 2025.
- Spring Clean up is May 3, 2025.
- Peter Heebink and Stephanie Supri are up for the Planning Commission.
Public Comment/Open Forum:
Kevin Larson requested looking into having ditch mowing done by a third party.
