Minutes of the June 12, 2024 Town of Eau Galle Board Meeting
*Minutes are unofficial until approved by the Town Board*
The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Town Board Chairman Lund at 7:00 PM at the town hall.
Chairman Lund indicated that the notice of the meeting was posted as required by statutes and noted no additional items were added since the June Agenda was posted at the Town Hall and on the official Town website.
The Town Board members present were Kevin Larson, Amy Shafer, Stephanie Supri, and Jim Lund.
The agenda was approved as presented on a motion by Amy Shafer second by Kevin Larson, motion carried.
Minutes of the May 15, 2024 Town Board Meeting were approved on a motion by Kevin Larson second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Treasurer’s report, and bills were reviewed and approved on a motion by Amy Shafer second by Kevin Larson, motion carried.
Building and driveway permits were reviewed.
Clerk reviewed correspondence and emails.
Bill Peavey presented a 1 lot and 1 outlot CSM in Section 14 for Timothy Rens. Motion by Amy Shafer to approve the 1 lot and 1 outlot second by Kevin Larson, motion carried.
Bill Peavey presented a 1 lot and 1 outlot CSM for William Peavey in Section 14. Motion by Kevin Larson to approve the 1 lot and 1 outlot second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Motion by Amy Shafer to accept the results of the 2023 Audit by CliftonLarson Allen second by Kevin Larson, motion carried.
Road Work:
- 20th Avenue project to be started as soon as possible per St. Croix County Highway Department.
- Road patching will happen when weather conditions allow.
- Top cut of ditches will be starting soon.
- New power poles/lines were installed on Pierce/St. Croix Road. According to the county the town is not liable if there is an accident since the poles were installed 23’ from center line.
- Seal coating on 10th Avenue-1 mile-250th Street to County Road B.
Chairman’s Report:
- Open Book is scheduled for August 28, 2024 from 12pm-2pm at the Town Hall
- Reviewed solar project proposal. Bill Peavey will bring questions and concerns to the St. Croix Electric Co-Op at next board meeting.
Public Comment/Open Forum:
None
Updates were made to the Non-Residential Building Permit Ordinance 21-03/Building Code Ordinance for Residential and Commercial 21-04. Board and Planning Commission to review and make any possible updates/changes at the next monthly board meeting.

The next regular monthly Board Meeting will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 7PM.
