Minutes of 06-11-2012 Eau Galle Board Minutes
Minutes are unofficial until approved by Town Board
The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman Lund at 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall.
Chairman Lund indicated that notice of the meeting was posted as required by Statutes.
Town Board members present were David North, Dennis Duckworth, Jim Lund and William Peavey.
The agenda was approved as presented on a motion by David North second by Dennis Duckworth, motion carried.
Minutes of the May 14, 2012 Board meeting were approved on a motion by Dennis Duckworth second by David North, motion carried
Bills for the month were reviewed. Motion by David North second by Dennis Duckworth to approve bills as presented, motion carried.
Clerk reviewed correspondence. CSM for Al Justin on next month agenda.
Reviewed Insurance coverage with regard to deductibles with information on cost changes. Motion by Dennis Duckworth second by David North to retain present $1,000.00 deductable, motion carried.
Discussed Nuisance Ordinance, motion by Dennis Duckworth second by David North to approve amendment as presented a Public Hearing,
To amend section 7, a, 1 Penalty
From
- Any person who shall violate any provision of this ordinance code shall, upon conviction thereof, forfeit not less than Ten and No/100’s ($10.00) dollars nor more than Thirty and No/100’s (30.00) dollars, together with the costs of prosecution and in default of payment of such forfeiture and cost of prosecution shall be imprisoned in the County of St. Croix Jail until said forfeiture and costs are paid, but not exceeding six (6) months. Each day a violation exists or continues shall constitute a separate offense.
To;

Road work 2012;
- Chairman Lund reviewed issues with cars parking at intersection of Town Roads and Wildwood Trail. Goal would be to have parking on one side only. No parking signs installed by Co. Highway department would be $1050.00. Supervisor Duckworth has found signs available cheaper. Narrow steep shoulders present an issue for traffic and farm machinery going around parked cars. Clerk to contact Co. Parks to work cooperatively with them to solve issue.
- First coat blacktop on 230th and N intersection project
- Bridge on County Line completed
- 250th lifted and ground
- Co. N will completed by June 26
- 55th patched
- Mowing ditches was discussed, 1 pass or mow all the way to fence line. Chairman Lund to see if Co. Highway department has manpower to do complete mowing, if not do 1 pass now.
Discussed issue of field driveway construct at 230th and 20th without permits and improperly. Chairman Lund will work with owner to correct issue before harvest and make him aware that fines could be imposed.
Chairman’s report;
- Issue with unpaid field rent, Clerk to notify renter to pay back due $900.00 plus $300.00 for 2012 before any crop is removed
Open Forum
- 01-01-2013 ATV drivers 12 to 16 must be with an adult
