Minutes of the Aug. 12, 2024 Town of Eau Galle Board Meeting
*Minutes are unofficial until approved by the Town Board*
The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Town Board Chairman Lund at 7:00 PM at the town hall.
Chairman Lund indicated that the notice of the meeting was posted as required by statutes and noted no additional items were added since the August Agenda was posted at the Town Hall and on the official Town website.
The Town Board members present were Kevin Larson, Amy Shafer, Stephanie Supri, and Jim Lund.
The agenda was approved as presented on a motion by Amy Shafer second by Kevin Larson, motion carried.
Minutes of the July 8, 2024 Town Board Meeting were approved on a motion by Kevin Larson second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Treasurer’s report, and bills were reviewed and approved with the addition of 3 election worker checks on a motion by Amy Shafer second by Kevin Larson, motion carried.
Building and driveway permits were reviewed.
Clerk reviewed correspondence and emails.
Motion by Kevin Larson to approve the 1 lot and 1 outlot CSM in Section 25 for Delmar Ziebart second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Josh Melstrom with Melstrom Inspections presented his business to the town board. Josh answered questions and concerns the board and town residents have about permits.
Road Work:
- ARIP update. The town of Eau Galle was not approved on this round of application submissions. The board agreed to review the application and make improvements to apply for the second round.
- Chairman Lund will contact the highway department for mowing right aways.
- 30th Avenue (BB to 230th Street) is next years road project.
Deputy Clerk Bill Peavey reviewed the preliminary 2025 budget.
Chairman’s Report:
- Open Book is August 28, 2024 from 12-2pm
- Board of Review is September 4, 2024 from 12-2pm
- A windmill project company contacted Chairman Lund. They are looking to put 12,000 acres in a windmill project throughout St. Croix County and Pierce County. The board decided to invite the company to come present a short bit about the project with zero sales pitch.
- August 13, 2024 is the fall primary election
- August 26, 2024 at 6pm is an open house at Luckwaldt Dairy
- August 13th, 2024 at 6pm is a picnic in Woodville for fireman appreciation
Public Comment/Open Forum:
A town resident expressed concern over Amish buggy visibility.
Supervisor Amy attended the Wisconsin Towns Association Meeting.
- In September there will be a free electronics event and in October there will be a free appliance event. Both will be at the St. Croix County Highway Department.
- Safe Streets For All has a link on the county website where residents can comment/pin intersections they deem dangerous.
The town board reviewed Building Code Ordinance 2024-01. A Public Hearing will occur at the September Board meeting.

The next regular monthly Board Meeting will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 7:40PM or immediately following the public hearing.
