Minutes of the April 14, 2025 Town of Eau Galle Board Meeting
*Minutes are unofficial until approved by the Town Board*
The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Town Board Chairman Lund at 7:00 PM at the town hall.
Chairman Lund indicated that the notice of the meeting was posted as required by statutes and noted no additional items were added since the April Agenda was posted at the Town Hall and on the official Town website.
The Town Board members present were Kevin Larson, Amy Shafer, Stephanie Supri, and Jim Lund.
The agenda was approved as presented on a motion by Amy Shafer second by Kevin Larson, motion carried.
The minutes of the March 10, 2025 Town Board Meeting were approved on a motion by Kevin Larson second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Treasurer’s report, and bills were reviewed and approved on a motion by Amy Shafer second by Kevin Larson, motion carried.
Building and driveway permits were reviewed.
Clerk reviewed correspondence and emails.
No representation for the driveway variance for James Krueger in Section 2.
No representation for a driveway variance for Doug Weber in Section 4.
Motion by Amy Shafer second by Kevin Larson to reappoint Peter Heebink and Stephanie Supri for a 2 year term on the Planning Committee.
Town Board tabled the discussion on the Town Roads Parking Ordinance to the May meeting.
Motion by Kevin Larson to approve Prestige Lawn and Landscape to mow both town halls and town cemetery second by Amy Shafer, motion carried.
Road Work:
- Proposed Road Work for the 2025 season
- $10,250.00 is Eau Galle’s half for sealcoating 60th Avenue
- $4,500.00 in Bridge Maintenance
- $4,200 to seal coat Pierce/St. Croix Road from BB to 2412 Pierce/St. Croix Rd.
- $300,000.00 for 30th Avenue from Cty Rd BB to 230th St
- $24,000.00 for 230th St and 30th Ave intersection
Chairman’s Report:
- April 15, 2025 is the Annual Meeting at 7pm
- April 24, 2025 Towns Association Unit Meeting at 6:30pm at Highway Department
- May 3, 2025 Spring Clean Up 9am-Noon
- Adjourned BOR on May 12, 2025 at 6:55pm
- Shirley Hampton was buried at Brookville Cemetery
- Starting price for fire department to put out an electric car fire is $5,000.00
- A fundraiser for a local fire fighter is on April 19, 2025 at the Baldwin Legion
- The Town of Hammond is seeing a decline in building permits with the potential of solar fields being installed. Should the Town of Eau Galle look into our town plans and ordinances in case we see a flood of people wanting to build in our area?
